The conference was held on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, the day before "Earth Day" to announce the introduction of legislation aimed at solving America's long-term water needs.

Desalination converts seawater and brackish water into pure drinking water. This is a timely issue for urban and rural communities throughout the nation.
